Cutting it close should be no problem behind the wheel of the #8 Remington Shaving CTS-V. Team Cadillac’s flagship led the luxury marque to the World Speed Challenge GT Manufacturer’s Championship in 2005 and 2007, winning 12 out of 41 races at one point. FM3 gamers can swap seats with driver Andy Pilgrim, who won the driver’s title in 2005, and see what you they do with the rules restricted 515-horsepower, Katech-built LS2 V8. The engine remains technically stock but Katech hot-hones the cylinders, measures pretty much every moving part to ensure super-tight tolerances, adds under piston oil squirters, forged everything inside and performs a highly precise assembly.
The muscular LS2 is dropped into a super rigid chassis fitted with leading edge suspension technology. This Cadillac is about apexing, not pimping as is just at home on shorter technical tracks like Amalfi Coast, Ladera and Tsukuba as it is on long-straight, high-speed circuits like Catalunya, Le Mans and Mugello.
